If you've ever wondered what an afternoon summer elopement at the Flagstaff Courthouse looks like, this is your first class ticket! Kayla & Dustin got married on a Monday afternoon at the very end of July and split their two hours of elopement photography with Nettik Photography between our courthouse, located in central Downtown Flagstaff, and Buffalo Park about 5 minutes away.
This is one of my most popular Flagstaff elopement photography packages because it honors the classic vibe of a courthouse elopement but also incorporates our forest and mountain backdrop with the San Francisco Peaks and pine trees at Buffalo Park.
Let's start at the Flagstaff Courthouse!
The most important thing to know about doing an afternoon elopement at the Flagstaff Courthouse is that the sun can be pretty harsh. If you prefer softer lighting, chat with the photographer you're working with about other times of the day that might fit your vision better. In Kayla & Dustin's case, we played with the contrast and shadows and I was really pleased with the final result. After our time in Downtown Flagstaff, we hopped in our cars and met two miles away at Buffalo Park for their nature backdrop.
